Over the past 6 weeks in Media Studies I learnt how to use the app 'Stop Motion studio' and how to create a stop motion using the app.I learnt that making a stop motion was a lot harder than it seemed-you needed to take a lot more photos than i thought.I also learnt that Media is everywhere and influences us a lot more than we may know.I really enjoyed making all of our paper cut outs for the stop motion;it was a lot of work as we had to make a lot of them but overall it was fun practising drawing all of the different poses and small changes.

Media studies stopmotion
In Media Studies we explore how the news, advertising, television, radio, social, and other forms of media are made and how they influence us.
I made a poster with the message 'Make Media safe for all people/cultures'.

Simba's Journey:The hero's journey/quest slideshow
Hello everyone! This is the slideshow I created on the hero's journey/quest.The movie I chose to use was 'The lion king.' The hero was Simba, the main protagonist. On each slide I have wrote about a different part of the hero's journey.I used Kapwing to create short videos for each part of the hero's quest and added it to my slide.I chose to use the animated (original) version of The lion king because it is a movie I have seen and loved.I learnt how to use Kapwing to create my own short video clips from the movie. At first it was quite confusing and hard to use,but I got the hang of things after making a few videos.I also learnt about the hero's journey and how it is present in most movies, including the one I chose.I never knew that all of these different movies were made using the same structure.
Have you seen the newer live action movie? I went to see it at the movies and really enjoyed it.
Here is my slideshow on The lion king,I hope you enjoy it!

The Neverending Story slideshow (The highlights)
This is my slideshow I created on the movie 'The Neverending story.'
Each slid is a different part of the hero's Journey or quest (the heroes being Bastian and Atreyu).I learnt about the hero's quest/journey and how it is used in a lot of different movies. The hardest part of making this slideshow was probably having to make the videos. The site I used was quite confusing;and adjusting the videos (trimming) was quite difficult as well as you had to look through the original video to find a good clip to use for each slide.
I learnt how to make the videos on the site and how to embed them into a slide. The site we used to create the videos was called Kapwing. We used this to trim down a long video from you tube into 5-10 second clips for our slide.
Have you watched the Neverending story? If so,who was your favourite character?
